“If you make a good city for those of 8 and those of 80, all the rest will be fine”

— Jan Gehl

The field of urban planning has recently focused on age-friendly design and activities, which has influenced the development of quality-of-life concepts. The proposed Intergenerational Community Center, called Q-ANIMA, expands the traditional definition of architecture as a shared space that meets the needs of both children and elderly people. The project embodies an organic approach, represented by the Ying-Yang symbol, starting from a well-defined ground floor and developing towards levels that promote direct interaction between generations. Additionally, the nearby middle school was rehabilitated to provide flexible spaces for teaching, learning, and co-learning.
